If we're being honest most jobs don't even do that.

healthcare worker,

Some healthcare workers have been working from home long before Covid. I guess you have never heard of Telemedicine. Unless you think all those doctors are in some patient exam room when they call you.
Hell almost any MRI that is read now is read from someone at home.

Your argument for office workers is also flawed. Basically you are saying that if a job can be done in a cubicle then it does lot contribute to society since being in a cubicle and working from home are almost exactly the same.

I’ve been typing into my spreadsheets in office 5x/week for 25 years and not sure if contributing anything to society.

I’m like those Severance workers and their numbers. Does any of it mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

I only do residential, no solar farms for me. And solar is about 75% of my work load, the rest being utility infrastructure and O&G.

That would be the more interesting conversation to have. Because you’re right.

Healthcare

I work in healthcare also. Im in finance. I WFH a ton.

And trust me. Clinicians (outside of the very specific knowledge they have) are fricking RETARDED when it comes to business. So yes, if you want the lights to stay on, WFH people contribute.

You mean jobs that we can do with our brain rather than our braun?
My wife is a supervising accountant and is WFH. I’m hybrid because I don’t like sitting at home. I’m a financial advisor.

So besides adding to the companies and individuals we also add a shite ton of taxes. Should I go on dipshit?

Are you retarded?

Raising children is a major contribution to society. A lot of those oilfield workers and such wouldn't be able to find their arse hole if it weren't for pencil pushers. Pipe designers, engineers, etc do as much or more to make progress happen as the dudes turning wrenches.

I've worked for a large healthcare company before. They had plenty of remote employees before Covid. Even more afterwards.
