The fact that you can live in a country that is 75% Christian, 85% religious, where nearly EVERY elected official from dog catcher to the POTUS is Christian and NOT recognize that the culture is literally dripping with religious iconography and those who disagree or have a different belief have to openly choose to avoid it or walk out if things and NOT recognize this is kind of the point. I have to pick and choose who I tell in my personal life in regards to my
lack of religious beliefs. I know this to be true. There are some that are completely fine with it, and others who would not only be not fine with it but who would lose their shite. It would, undoubtedly, risk professional relationships...all because I do not believe what they do.
That's pretty much what I thought, nothing is forced on you.

This is the most ignorant childish argument against atheism. Never had one atheist knock on my door and try to recruit me. People like you are the one who give Christians a bad name and reputation.

So being an athetist:
1. Zero evidence to support your beliefs
2. Blind faith which takes a ton of faith to belief in due to zero proof.
3. Force your beliefs on others and tell other people what they belief in is wrong. Be judgmental at all costs.
4. Attack other beliefs even though you can not support your own with any evidence, lol.
I think the psychological term for this is "projection".

the problem with the idea of "first cause" is the simple question of "what was the first cause of God?"

i gave you a pretty reasonable reply that you've completely ignored.

Please tell me, what is your evidence that god does not exist?
Posted on 8/22/14 at 11:25 am to ctiger69
Are you still asking for proof of a nonexistence?
Posted on 8/22/14 at 11:25 am to beejon
Oh they exist, believe me, they exist. I've had many encounters!!!!!!

The view of first cause is the view that everyone has, believer or non-believer. It depends on your view which first cause 'God' you believe in.
There has to be a first cause, a causeless cause. Nothing would exist without it.

The idea defies reasoning and cannot be considered a reliable argument or proof of anything. You might as well say that existence has always existed.

If you note in my posts, I put God in single quotes...'God'.
But it does prove the existence of a supernatural power, force, 'something'.
