Do not sign up with DSC.. They use DORCO blades and charge you more for them. First of all DORCO (dollar razor company) blades suck but if you want them they are cheaper to just buy directly than pay DSC for them.

Dollar Shave Club didn't work for me. I got their premium blades (the ones that are more than a dollar) and it felt like I was attacking my whiskers with a rusty hatchet.

I can't speak for Harry's but I did not like the quality of dollar shave club. I tried for about 3 months but it was definitely the shortest lasting shave I've ever had.

How do you like it?

Did you use the shave butter?

I've used Harry's but the razors are not as good as Gillette. I only shave 1-2 times per week though.
I found the same with Dollar Shave Club. The system is great and delivery etc... But the blades are Dorco blades. If you've used a Dorco DE blade and hated it, as I did later, you will not like DSC blades.
If I shave with a cartridge, I use the Schick Hydro. The cartridges are 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper than the EVIL Gillette Fusions. And they work just as well. For my face.

DSC here. No complaints. The razor quality is fine.

Wife and I use DSC, no issues. Have 24 brand new cartridges in my drawer right now. Shave butter is nice, and I alternate between that, Cremo and Shave Secret.

I've shaved daily for 1.5 years with it and no matter how many times I change angle, map/remap beard, change soap, change blade, etc I still get irritation. I haven't tried a slant but I'm thinking of taking a break and going back to carts.
You'll probably have to, or not shave daily. I can't imagine a 2-3 pass DAILY shave with "touch ups". Thats a LOT of scraping. No matter how good the blade and prep are.

I didn't use their balm. But I have my own routine of pre and post shave balms.
To be fair, I get my 5 o'clock shadow at about 10am and my facial hair is like rope. I'm sure the blades work fine for someone with finer hair.

This. Hydro works as well for much less.

The combo of this razor and its lube strip with Proraso cream is almost comical. Almost too slick. shite is stringing from my face in strands like melted mozarella. But it is slick as hell.

fricking terrible brush. 100% badger can mean 100% badger a-hole. Do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to a better brush.
A terrible brush can seriously hinder your prep.

I also have a synthetic badger it works the same. I'm not a brush Nazi.

It has nothing to do with being a brush Nazi. I used to use an escali. When I bought a better brush, every soap I used became infinitely better.

If you don't have a $300 Simpson's, you arent trying.

I use the fusion in the shower. The blades are expensive but I can use one for a week. I think that works out to a dollar a day.
