Which surging city is better and why? Charlotte or Nashville? I know Charlotte is a big banking city, but what industry is booming in Nashville?

Check out the low country boil at the Shrimp Dock. Not the same as the crawfish you are used to...but the closest thing you will find around here. The Shrimp Dock

Andy still out at the Bayou Bay? Wasn't the best, but still better than nothing. I never liked Shrimp Dock.

Just order live from lacrawfish or cajun crawfish.

Private schools are for places like Louisiana where you have to get your kid into a decent magnet school. Plenty of cities with good public schools in East TN. Just have to take the school system into account when choosing where you move

Jobs make a difference, certain industry is much better in Chatt than elsewhere in East Tenn. You can get a great public school in Chatt if you move up on Signal. The magnet schools here are fantastic and McCallie and GPS are amazing private schools for anywhere in the South if you want to drop some cash.

Chattanooga has a lot to offer in other departments too, it's a cool town. I lived a lot of years in Knoxville. I won't go back any time soon.

I lived in Knoxville for 5 years, and I definitely love the scenery, seasons, and a lot of the people we met there. We moved back to Baton Rouge to be closer to family after we started having kids, but we are already talking about moving back to the area. While I liked Knoxville, I feel like I would love Chattanooga. I could also be down for living in a small mountain town, but schools and amenities are important to the missus.

The allergies sucked though. I could do without that.

Shhh. Don't tell people how great Maryville TN is. I'd like it to stay that way. Keep the rude fast food employees down in La.

The schools suck dick, though.

Chattanooga has some of the best private schools in the South.

Baylor
McCallie
GPS

Those schools have higher standards than most SEC universities.

But let's not quibble about such things. Yes, Chattanooga is dope.

Maryville is already overcrowded as it is. Owning/renting a place in Maryville is expensive compared to other areas. Everyone wants the school system in Maryville specifically.

Western N.C. also has some ridiculously nice mountain golf courses. Problem is most of private.

Lots of super rich folks who retire to South Florida spend summers in western NC and are members of these clubs.
