While this is cool I would like to see Elon put some money to being able to do a full eye transplant with optic nerve repair.

I really resent Musk for this type of stuff.
It's one thing to dream about space travel, robotics, and cars and speak out loud about the possibilities.
I don't think it's fair to give people false hope that Musk and his companies will be able to restore their sight in the near future.
Could it happen someday? I guess.
But within a reasonable amount of time for any blind person today listening to see the results? I highly doubt it.

Yeah because all of the blind people forever have already been born and are living today

I would think most people understand this is aspirational. At least he's trying.

What do you not like about the cybertruck? Did you fall for the Anti-Tesla propaganda against cybertrucks?

how about his next project be pay taxes.
That's a hell of a thing to say in a thread about him providing funding to cure blindness
Give the blind the gift of sight or dump money into the bottomless pit that is the US government? Hmmm

It seems like it exists only as a status symbol and not as a practical or even aesthetically pleasing vehicle.
I don't care what other people drive but it's not for me. Certainly you can see why some people think it's a terrible product right? They have a huge backlog they can't sell for a reason.

Finished the sentence for you.

Did DOGE do anything, or have all the organizations just been shuffled about and quietly refunded?
Yes. It identified waste fraud and abuse. And when Elon presented the waste fraud and abuse to congress, they stood up and clapped like seals. Meanwhile they are the same representatives that enabled the waste fraud and abuse. Fast forward to the next federal budget deadline, these same congressmen that stood up and clapped like trained seals for Elon's Doge work funded all the waste fraud and abuse in the next Biden era CR.
Pathetic.

He pays more taxes than some countries' national budgets.

You just hate Musk, period. It had nothing to do with Blindsight.

Well I mean I figured everyone knew that was a given and implied by being Republicans.

He is pretty "matter of fact" in his statements.
Keep in mind this is the dude that brought everyone the turd that is the Cybertuck.
Questioning this dudes outrageous timelines does not make me a "hater".

I don't "hate" the guy.
I just think he is full of shite with a lot of his timelines and expectations.
Saying outlandish shite doesn't make one a "visionary" by default unless there is some realistic basis.
