Had he killed someone it would've been much worse.
olivia matte killed a man driving drunk on the causeway over a year ago, it was her third DWI.
to date, she has spent not a single day in prison, is out on bail, and her trial for her 2nd DWI has now been delayed three time. she has not had a trial date set yet for her 3rd DWI/vehicular homicide
right now, i'm saying Neilson Rizzuto has had it worse than olivia matte

Well he pled guilty so there is that and she hasn't gone to trial yet.

Meanwhile, that bitch Olivia Matte, who killed someone on her third DWI, will get a lesser sentence

I actually think that's fair. But I'm sure I'll be downvoted.
Most of us think 5 years is fair. However, Joseph Branch will be out in no time. 7 years for actually murdering someone is absurd. This was no barely drunk buzz-driving accident either.
Branch was SHITCANNED hammered.

Police also testified Branch had a blood-alcohol level of 0.307 percent at the time of the crash. In Louisiana, a driver with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher is considered to be driving drunk.

What makes you think she will?

Well he pled guilty
which is why he has now been sentenced...however there was never any doubt as to whether or not he plowed his car into a crowd, while drunk

so there is that and she hasn't gone to trial yet.
she hasnt gone to trial because her connected family has hired the most connected defense attorney in the state, who has now convinced his judge to delay trial on her 2nd DWI THREE times now. her trial in JP for 3rd DWI/vehicular homicide cant even be scheduled until the dispensation of the STP charges.
but just like mr rizzuto, there is no doubt whether or not she is guilty of her crimes, one of which includes murder-by-automobile

It affected me so it should have been worse. It delayed the start of the parade and I had to sit on the float
It affected me as well since my float position is closest to the cooler...

You know that happened right in front of the townhomes you live in, right? I rode up on the accident scene that night.

He gets 5 years and hasn't been out on bail since last year since he couldn't post the 125k.
On the other hand, Olivia Matte had multiple DUIs in the past, was drunk at the scene of her accident which left a man dead, was out the following day on a 126k bail. Oh, her trial has been delayed 3 times now
He got what he deserved, but frick the system needs to do a better job

f i shoot a gun and nobody gets hit, the charges would be different if i blew somebodyd head off
Eh I think the closer comparison here would be if you shot a gun into a crowd and the people who were hit died or not.

Any lawsuits coming his (or his parents way)?

No at worst he'll go to Hunt.

exactly
I actually do have some empathy for mr rizzuto in that he had no priors, he manned up, pled guilty, apologized as best he could, and spared the family and the state the rigor and expense of a trial. and while he caused several horrific injuries, he did not kill anyone and if he chooses, he can begin to help repair the damage he has wrought
Olivia matte on is a three time repeat offender relying on her family's resources and connections to mitigate and/or avoid the proper punishment for her crimes which, again, resulted in an innocent man being impaled on his way to work

That chick purposely drove into the crowd though.

Which is no picnic either but it’s not he’ll on Earth. I have a good friend who’s younger brother is in Angola doing 35 years for a crime that was talked about plenty on this board. We talked just the other day and the brother is not doing bad, spending his days working with horses which is something he enjoys. At least those bigger prisons keep the inmates active and productive with privileges they don’t want to lose. It’s the jails where they are locked in dorms being idle and pretty much unsupervised where the violence and horrific stuff really happens.
