It’s not the job of the govt to build homes for veterans. It is the job of the government to have a military. Signed a Veteran
Signed a tax payer

Every honorably discharged veteran can get a Va home loan
Was it the will of the people to allow millions of unvetted illegals into this country?
Or the billions bilked from govt via fraud.

Trump said the war was a bad idea... until Israel was ready to start it.

Another U.S. warplane, an A-10 Warthog attack plane, also crashed in the region at about the same time, and the pilot was safely rescued, two U.S. officials said. They did not say what caused it to go down. The plane crashed near the Strait of Hormuz, the officials said, but they did not specify in which country.

I'm amazed at how many assholes on this board are pulling for Iran to capture and torture our pilots. They no longer even try to hide the fact that they are pulling for the other side to win.
A lot of the people that feel that way are so spoiled and sheltered from life outside of the best country that’s ever existed on Earth that it’s almost like they can’t comprehend what the world is really like. The young, well off early 20 something White kid stereotype exists for a reason.

I’d like some military guys to chime in.
I’ve opposed most wars in my adult life. But I usually come around once I better understand the justification. It’s very different than our domestic law enforcement policies because so many nations view the rules of engagement differently than we do. That gives them the upper hand.
We had a long line of Presidents who came to understand that Iran’s theocratic Shia leadership overwhelmingly favors Sharia Islam over every other religion. It is enshrined in their constitution. It is the primary driver for why they have been regarded as the #1 state sponsor of terrorism for over 40 years. Terrorism against non-sharia nations is more valuable than their own individual survival, and is certainly more important than global peace. That long line of Presidents knew darn well that a nuclear Iran was intolerable. No one has to take my word for it, their words to that effect are still available at our fingertips.
Iran obviously knew our historical justification for a mass, large scale military action (rules of engagement) is to wait for evidence of a nation being an imminent threat or as retaliation to an overt and highly deadly act. It wasn’t just us, it was the same justification embraced by every other nation not named Russia.
So Iran cleverly embraced the proxy model of using useful idiot factions of pawns with grievances (terrorist groups). Every nation with a functioning intelligence agency knew what Iran was successfully doing. But everyone was waiting for an overt act or hoping to recognize an imminent threat with enough time to only then intervene. Under that model Iran could inflict damage and death while also fueling growth of other factions while they continued to pursue the ultimate weapons.
They knew that once they obtained a nuclear weapon and long range ballistic missiles, they would become untouchable.
They also knew that as long as they maintained the perception of not being an imminent threat, they would likely continue to be free to stockpile and develop advanced weaponry up to and including nuclear weapons. Most world leaders as they saw it would not have the balls to stop them because such an endeavor would not likely carry much support in the global community - due to traditional justifications that frowned upon “pre-emptive” military action. Again, peaceful nations normally wait for attacks to happen and then retaliate.
Iran admits to having enriched uranium to 60%. Name a nation that has done the same thing yet has never developed a nuclear weapon. Are you thinking that Iran’s goal was simply to be the only nation in the world to enrich to 60% and stop?
The reason why Iran stopped there is to attempt plausible deniability, because once you reach 60%, you are only weeks away from 90%.
At that point they only need long range missiles. In February of this year Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran deliberately limits the range of its missiles to 2,000 km. Just one month later, Iran launched two missiles toward the British base on Diego Garcia, around 4,000 km from Iran. Obviously Iran will lie to survive.
They were quite obviously developing long range missiles and nuclear weapons. How much longer would you favor waiting before stopping the quite obvious threat?
We had a long line of Presidents and leaders who knew this was Iran’s strategy and none were willing to risk political capital to do what must be done. Until a non-traditional politician who doesn’t give a shite about political capital came along.

Yeah they were weeks away from 90% enriched Uranium in 2012 according to Israel
