if you are the apex predator why do you need a weapon to kill an alligator? Alligator don’t need a weapon to kill you

I can't imagine this making any less sense.

I'm sure the alligator would use a weapon too if it were capable of conjuring such an idea.

They don't fear you, not matter how big your pop gun is. They don't fear anything, not like you do. I don't know if they even have that part of their brain.

You haven't seen a croc stumble upon a pissed off male hippo, I take it.

frick all that. I’m the fricking apex predator. These animals have lost their fear of man because we’ve been too tolerant and tried to coexist with them. This is the result. Start slaughtering these big lizards again and they’ll regain their healthy dose of fear. As it should be.

Or maybe don't drag a snack around right where gators fricking eat.

I like both your ideas. Alligator meat is too expensive. Flood the market.

Grew up on a lake in central Fl and caught a baby (~8") gator and kept it as a pet thinking it was so cute. I stroked its throat once and it opened its mouth wide and I stuck my finger in its mouth. I learned a good lesson that day.

Flew right over your head.

I may be overestimating the human brain.

Jeez that video is terrifying with the slow buildup of the wake heading towards the lady. Reminded me of Jaws.

There’s 0 reason to allow a gator over 8 ft in certain places like neighborhoods especially those with kids, dogs, and old people. 5-7 ft are still pretty small usually just 50-80 lbs. If there’s a 10+ footer you can post it online and someone will hunt it for you, there’s a season plenty would love to go after 10+ then and there’s trappers that will go after the ‘nuisance’ gators that size year round.

Sucks for the lady but that’s fricking stupid if this thing was known to live there. Most of the year gators stay in fairly small territories.

Why was she going so close to the water? Looks like she was offering the gator her dog as a snack.

Walking your dog that close to the water in Florida is stupid. I hate it for the lady, but she should have known better.
