The government has made it more difficult than ever to actually expel a student. I be the girl has an IEP which would make it even more difficult. If you keep up with your state government you see the lawmakers are pushing no out of school suspensions or out of school expulsions. I think restorative practices are what it’s called they want schools to do. Write a letter, say you’re sorry, etc. it is ridiculous of the hoops a school must jump through to expel a student. I am friends with a child welfare officer in our district. At the state conferences, instead of how can we keep order and discipline it is how can we fight the school and principal to keep the kid in school.
Folks you better support when your school district expels someone or you will end up like this.
Also we better wake up and quit supporting Special Education in its current state. Special Ed is a great thing for students with disabilities but it has gone to where it now defends bad behaviors.

This kind of shite happened on our buses all the time. That was in the 80s and 90s.
I don't see the big deal honestly. Catching shite, giving shite, and learning how deal with both are part of growing up.
I would not involve the school or the police. Tell him to fight like hell.

I got suspended from riding the bus due to a fight in middle school. My parents were on their own in finding a way to get me across town to the school; the district wasn't obligated to provide me with another bus to ride there.

Isnt that assault? My first stop would be the the police station. Screw the school. Schools are cesspools of bullshite rules regarding discrimination and equal access. They basically cant do shite that may let keep this animal from attending school. If they do, they will be sued and they will lose.
The absolute best thing I ever did was put my kids in private school recently. I was an idiot to have them go to a public school, no matter how decent of a public school it was.

Most of these people do not share these views. The parents have ZERO contact with their kids, they have no sense of responsibility for the actions of their kids, they have no shame, no anything. But they do know that the school must get their kid to school and feed them.

Didnt know strangling another student with your bare hands was just a thing back then. Yeah kid, I know you cant breathe and all but just fight like hell to stay alive. Its no big deal. Happens all the time.

Nah, the school systems are so fricked up that teachers aren't even allowed to hold students back anymore. I have a family member who is a teacher and says he gets in trouble if he recommends a kid get held back.
