I like dive bars. A place where you know what time who will be coming in.. I used to be a faithful Thursday night guy, but I don't really go to bars anymore. If I do its a special occasion, but my go to is Corona with shots of Patron from time to time, but the last time I had a hang over it felt like I was beat up for two days in a row.

It is one of those places that you dont even have a step to get in. 100% grade A wheelchair accessible.

good bars lose their appeal because they quickly become overcrowded and overprice

No centralized area but this town has great boutiques, great restaurants, great bars.
Just not all together. They’re in different parts of town.

I don't have a firm grasp of what is "downtown St. George", but the stretch of Arline from Highland to Pecue will look totally different in a couple of years.

They whip out this comparison every chance they get. It’s true that some of the challenges they face are similar, but the population of the BR area is a good bit larger than the Jackson area and our neighboring markets are very close by (New Orleans MSA, Lafayette MSA) and are both relatively healthy despite some headwinds. Jackson, on the other hand, isn’t close to much of anything. And the economy in BR is a hell of a lot more diverse. Other than being a state capital in the south, they don’t have a ton in common
When you have to mention the two nearest MSA to try and bolster BR, good sign you’re trying to put lipstick on a pig
