Shouldn't this stuff have been worked out weeks ago when it was very clear what was beginning to happen in Italy etc could happen here?

You would think so considering what was going on in Italy. We were seeing what was happening in Italy about a week before it started hitting the US hard.
Everyone knew it was coming and then all of a sudden hospitals start running out of products they need. There should have been aggressive measures put in place to avoid what was happening in Italy. Instead, people sat back and waited for it to happen before taking action.
