Rather than go chasing IPs and threatening them, the cops should make a PSA to encourage her clients to give them depositions. Obviously gaining trust would be a task. But it's worth a shot. Mikee... he's not getting death row. It would be next to impossible to prove first degree murder plus it would have to involve first degree murder in conjunction with an aggravating factor.
So, basically they'd have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he fully intended to kill her the whole time, and another serious crime like he raped/attempted to rape her, was buying drugs from her, etc.
Tough to prove when the only other witness is dead.
