I’ve used them last 7-8 years they are great especially if you live in a no state income tax state.

Nope, but I do remember being 19

I've used it for filing extensions, but not for calculating taxes. Worked fine.

I switched to them about 4 or 5 years ago as Turbotax started creeping up in price. Very easy to use and cheap. Whole family uses them now.

I used Turbotax for years.
Two years ago, had a unique situation in which I called TT for support. They were totally useless.
I switched that day to FreeTaxUSA and have never looked back. Very pleased.

quote:$15?!?
I used it just yesterday. It's free for federal and $15 for state. TurboTax is only worth the price if you have numerous investment portfolios and income streams.
I have used TurboTax for years, and it’s about $150 for both federal and state. I have both mine and my wife’s W2, a brokerage account (sold stock, received dividends), interest income. All normal stuff, nothing too crazy other than RSU’s that we haven’t cashed out yet. Would this still be $15?

I got tired of paying $200 - $300 each year to have them done. I've been using it for going on 10 years now. It was recommended by several independent reviewers. It does the job for me.
No nonsense. We itemize our deductions, etc. The program asks the necessary questions, you provide the answers and it applies the current tax code changes every year.
You can also opt for "expert" service/advice if you want.

Been using it for a few years. Straight forward and easy.
