Public school kids are far more likely to be social misfits.

Sorry couldn't help it. Public-school is too easy a target

If ya don't mind me asking, how does that teacher/tutor's
salary compare to a private school teacher's salary?

My sis in law teaches at a private catholic school and my daughter is a teacher in public school. Our teacher makes more than either of them and only teaches 4 hours a day.

Yes. The ones that don't want to send their kids to public school for obvious reasons and don't want to pay for private school tuition.

I know a few people that home school their kids because they think that the school system is shite. That and their kids were kicked out of school. Although they don't like to bring that part up.
Doubt very few of these exist. Most home schooled kids were not kicked out of school.

That's actually not a sentence.

The results of home schooling can run the gamut from great to horrible.
I've seen a case or two of the horrible, I think traditional educational systems are better equipped to head these issues off than parents before they get to a critical stage. Parents are emotionally invested and they don't want to believe or admit that their precious Janey or Jimmy is a sociopath. By the time they do, they have lost more ground and time with the kid to remediate and amend the bad behavior.

It's better for really smart kids. Schools teach to the lowest level student And care nothing about learning aside from standardized tests.

How does someone find a certified teacher to take 4 or 5 students that wanna be homeschooled, and have the school board socially promote them?
Just schedule some test and pass it?

For people who want to keep their kids away from different races or religions.

I have my degree in elementary education and home schooled the daughter of a doctor so she could put her focus on her tennis career. She turned out fine.
I also home schooled my son until he was about 7 and then he went to a good public school and went into gifted classes. He turned out fine.
My husband's youngest grand-daughter will be home schooled by me. We do not like the public school here and the nearest private school is about 30 miles away. I think I will start a small class of kids around her age so that she will have friends her age and we can plan field trips and other social events.
Other friends have indicated a great interest in this plan so I will start implementing this plan when the granddaughter is about 3.

Do you have time to help me with my Senior Project? It's Physiologically-related.
At least an hour will probably do, bear in mind that I might need some disciplining, I've got a bad vocabulary and I know how to use it.

You market yourself, or is is a program through the school board?
