It is "good" for the price. It tastes like an energy drink with a decent amount of alcohol, and obviously way too much sugar.

Sounds trashy

Hmmm. I may have to try this Four Loco

Is it good stuff?

I was teaching my 18 yo about this product since he had tried it before. Do the math on the concentration of alcohol and volume in a 24 oz can. You are talking 4 to 5 beers in each can. 2 cans of 4 Loco quickly is 8 to 10 beers in a very short time. Not saying anyone shouldn't not drink it but certainly be aware of how much alcohol you are getting when you do

First, sincere congrats.

Second, "temper your usage and still enjoy it"? sounds like a VERY bad idea to me.

Third, find a AA group you like. These are the people with actual answers that work. (and career connections you make there can be life-changing - just an added pirque, not the main benefit)

How difficult has it been to limit yourself, like that?

It's tough sometimes after a long day.

I just go for a long walk with the dog or do yoga. And then smoke some weed.

Just drink a little less each couple of days. Try that and if you can live with it, decrease a bit more. If you can’t do this, get help.

I haven't "quit" totally, but I have reduced it to one day a week. I am planning on cutting that out too, because it doesn't help me with the gym.

Thanks for sharing and good luck.

I do have a question for you and others in a similar situation. Typically how much money a month would you spend on alcohol? Always been curious about this.

I spend 90% of my paycheck on booze, fast women, and Cuban cigars. The rest, I probably just waste.

This would probably be the only way to wipe alcohol out, completely, for me.

Just guessing, but I think it could take its place.

I did a hard reset and didn’t drink for five months. I work offshore so doing long stretches of “saltwater rehab” is pretty common. Go to r/stopdrinking if you need any support or advice.

A month? It would depend, I tried my best to be cheap with it. So probably only around 150 to 200 dollars.

Man the best advice i could ever give you is to workout a lot. And use those workouts as fuel to avoid ruining them with alcohol.

And like Caterpillar said, smoke a little weed afterwards.

You wont miss alcohol.

I used to lift 5 days a week, for three years, before I started drinking. I was so foolish to let that work be wasted. Maybe my body retained a few positives, but they're mostly gone. (the benefits/mass)

I drink 2 glasses of red wine a day. Trying to find out if thats an issue.

Fair question I think. I don't know the actual answer.

My personal answer would be why you're doing it. If it's a nice evening routine where you and the wife have a glass of wine and relax, or you do it for heart health, or you do it because you like trying wine and it's a way to try a couple of bottles a week without over doing it, I don't think there is any issue there.

If you need it to sleep, or it's how you handle stress, or it's a response to anger/anxiety/whatever - could be a problem.

I don't drink a glass every night, but I do many nights. But my focus is more on the wine than it is the act of drinking alcohol. I am cautious about making it a routine just to avoid it becoming something else, though.

That's one of the worst parts of drinking. I started skipping the gym, stopped playing basketball, and just felt like garbage.

Haven't had a drop in 25 days... not that I was a daily drinker but had a problem with getting absolutely plastered 2 nights of the week. Knowing I had a little one on the way and fear of having to get to a hospital, i've been fine without it. We had our baby on Sunday and havent thought about it since.

If you've been a regular weight trainer in the past, you'll be surprised how fast you get it back.
