I'm 26 and get questioned from time to time but I guess I play it off well enough to where it doesn't matter.

Me, my gf, and her sister were all turned away from a bar in Philly using our Louisiana ID's.
It was hilarious bc it was a Louisiana themed bar called "The Swamp".

Give the nearest teenager money to go buy you beer.

I was on Spring Break in Florida and had just turned 22. We went to some random bar. The bouncer said my ID was fake but let me in with X's on my hands. I explained to him that I didn't care if he let me drink or not, I just wanted him to know it was a real I'D. He told me that he had a big book that would prove to me it was a fake. After quibbling for a while I gave up, let my of-age friends buy me booze, and paraded in front of him with it. It's a wonder I didn't get kicked out.

Have had mine turned down before, then I show my pistol permit and that does the trick.

L'auberge checked me hard a couple of weeks ago. I'm 23 and could probably pass for 21ish. When they pulled me aside I asked them why and the woman said "because you look younger in your (ID) picture". The ID was made the spring of 2012 when I was 21, of course I looked younger

Had a drunk arse bouncer dude turn down a girl from Missouri because they did the whole vertical/horizontal thing and her perfectly legal license was still vertical despite her turning 21. That was fricking annoying.

What's different about the new ID?
It looks like a flimsy green piece of shite.
It's really crappy.

Got denied going into Buddha Belly for the same thing a few months ago and I'm 31.
Maybe the authorities are cracking down on fake IDs and that has people overly nervous.

Did once at a bar in Houston. I was 21. I got uppity. They even had HPD there working "second job"security. I told bouncer to call him over. "Let the cop look at it!" Hell he can run it for warrants! That's me!" We had a large group so the bouncer looked at me and lost revenue and said screw it and let us in.

A friend of mine from Mass. came down for a week. I took him and his wife to the casino in Baldwin. All he had was a military ID. They turned him down because they said the picture looked nothing like him. The only difference was in the ID his head was shaved.
What pissed us off was we drove 2 hours to get there, and he was the oldest of our entire group.

This happened to an ex of mine with her Alabama DL. The uneducated woman that checks id's at the door stopped her and said that it was obviously a fake, even though it shown under the black light. So she called their boss who was just as useless. She pulled out a book with examples of all 50 state DL's that was about 6 years old. Bama had changed their DL's twice since the book came out. So the second useless woman threatened to call the State Police. My ex turned to leave. I made her stay and told the manger to please call the police. I even offered to call her father, who was an ICE agent at the time and looks at fake id's all the time. At this point, she said they really couldn't call the police and it was just a threat. So I asked for the head of security. He was nice enough to come and we explained the situation. He looked at her id and immediately comped us a few drinks and some credit for out trouble. We never saw the two women the rest of the night, eventhough we kept looking for them.

You didn't show them another form of ID to go along with it? credit card, passport (this is the OT), anything? Me, yeah at 22, I would've been cussing up a storm. Now, no big deal. Just move along to the next store.
