Trying to get into a bar with a friend when I was probably 23 or 24. The door guy scrutinized my ID for a full minute. Finally he started quizzing me on all the information. I rattled it off. He looked at it for another minute and finally called the owner over. The owner basically repeated the routine. Then he got all haughty and told me he "wasn't buying it" and I needed to leave. They were gonna let my friend, a year younger than me, in with no problem. We pointed out this fact and he got an attitude and told me he didn't even have to give it back to me and that he was supposed to cut it in half. I told him if he cut my drivers license in half I was gonna call the frickin' cops so we could get the whole situation documented and they would pay for it's replacement. He looked at me sideways, gave it back, and told us we needed to leave. We left.

L'auberge checked me hard a couple of weeks ago. I'm 23 and could probably pass for 21ish. When they pulled me aside I asked them why and the woman said "because you look younger in your (ID) picture". The ID was made the spring of 2012 when I was 21, of course I looked younger

Yeah they got me off guard when they asked to tell them what my address was i was like wait what? Is this high school again?

I stumbled a bit too because i have my own place now and my DL address is my parents, but they let me through

Worst I ever had was trying to convince this guy at wal greens. My id is old. In my picture I have a fro. I now rock the fade. Worst part is I was only trying to buy cigarettes.

Fiesta in Austin wouldn't sell me beer at 28. Said my LA ID was fake. It got heated and I said something I probably shouldn't have to the manager

"I bet you sell beer to people in here and they don't even have a green card."

About 30 Mexicans turned and gave me the stink eye. They escorted me out.

I'm thinking I may go back today with a passport as backup and do a trial run with a six pack. If they turn me down again, I'll call their bluff and tell them to alert the cop out front that I'm illegally purchasing beer.

If it was a guy that didn't accept my ID, I would just knock his arse out.
