I worked at that place for 5 days the summer after I graduated HS. Worked in the re-melting room where the deformed chocolates were sent to be re-melted and then reformed. Was well over 100 degrees in that damn room and was fricking miserable. Making only minimum wage did no favors either. Luckily for me I got a job offer somewhere else on the 4th day and quit the next. frick that place.

I do like the old school Heavenly Hash eggs from the '60-'70's.
We used to heat up Gold Brick eggs and pour it over Brown's Velvet vanilla ice cream. That's right, I invented magic shell.

Anyone who grew up in the 70/80's remember the Shrine Circus always being at the Municipal Auditorium in NO around Thanksgiving...
My grandmother would get tickets for us to go, one of the last years we went, I was a freshman in HS so my mother dropped me and a couple of friends off. She hands me a bag and says this is from your maw-maw to snack on...
We get to the circus open the bag and It's a bunch of Elmer's Easter chocolates from the previous Easter, 7 months old...
We ate that shite like it was our last meal.... Still good.

Yes, Heavenly Hash is the best easter candy. Every year my sister ships us a box of Heavenly Hash and a box of Gold Brick eggs.
