No, they switched to Quality Stamps.

Too bad, I almost had enough books of stamps for a free blender or a toaster.

HEB can suck it. Tired of them. They don't sell any Louisiana sausage. Their Andouille is all made in either Houston or Beaumont. Gross. No Louisiana beer (except sometimes Abita).

They run out smaller grocery stores by manipulating suppliers.

We love HEB! NOT ONLY are they a great store to shop but they take care of people in need. Anytime there is a disaster, you can bet the next day you will see 18 wheelers loaded and carrying supplies to that area...as many as 20 or more. Anytime we're headed home to Louisiana , our friends and family make a list of things for us to bring from HEB.

interesting. we definitely don’t have the same Kroger then. My Kroger sushi looks like gas station sushi.

So something to keep in mind, I don’t like all sorts of avacado or cucumber crunch in my sushi. In fact, I’m not much a huge sushi fan.

However, the Kroger at Buffalo Speedway & Westpark, I’ll grab that once every other week for lunch.

I’m with you on the cucumber, but I like the avocado.

you’re shopping at the fancy Kroger in the Los Tios parking lot. That HEB across the street used to be nice. Don’t know now.

Used to be my main HEB about a decade ago. I worked near there….in the same industry as you….but we were on the other side of 59 in Greenway Plaza. We moved out about a decade ago. But super familiar with the area, as I lived in Midtown but worked over there.

It is still nice. Great beer selection. But I prefer the sushi at the Kroger across due to my personal preferences.

And in fact, I do all my regular grocery shopping at HEB. Normally grab the household weeks worth of stuff on Fridays, and always go to HEB for that, with periodic trips to the local butcher. It’s just that specific Kroger I like for those select things.

I believe Rouses privately held keeps increasing their prices a few points every couple of weeks to see where people quit buying. They recently bought Langenstein’s and will frick that up.

Dorignac’s is the closest modern equivalent to Schwegman’s, honey how’s ya doing today baby. Good store.

HEB is in a whole other class the best I’ve ever seen.

They 100% defy economic logic.

All we have now will be Rouses and WM, with a few locals still operating. All are high. And Aldi for off brand items. Wish we had a Publix or one from the old days, Albertsons.
