I think you read the room wrong. You aren't the recipient of gifts from people who are seeking your business. Businesses offer a "thank you" gift to demonstrate what your support is worth to them.

Judging by the back massager, the "nice" bottle of wine, and a box full (were there two or four?) of steaks, I would surmise that you're not the high-roller you seem to believe yourself to be.
