I think a lot of these public proposals are pre-planned by the couple and that they already know they're getting married.

I don't know how some yokels leave that shite up to chance when they're making a big show of the whole thing

I knew I had her "yes" in the bag weeks before I even started planning the proposal.

My dad put a ring on top a can of beer in the fridge and told her to go get him one

My wife lost her childhood home because of Katrina. It took her years to finally bring me out there to see where it once stood. I hated that her last memory of that place was terrible, and I wanted to change that. I asked her to marry me on the foundation where the house once stood.

How did you propose?

In Puerto Vallarta with my wife's family. I was planning on asking her after dinner the first night. I had asked her dad for his blessing earlier in the day. We sit down for dinner and her mom blurts out "did colorchangintiger tell you he asked your Dad for your hand in marriage?!" I spit my wine clear across the restaurant. I don't think I've ever been as mad at anyone as I was her right then.

I literally proposed to her in her bedroom while she was folding clothes She said yes and started crying, didn’t finish folding clothes. She called her parents and then I realized I never spoke to her dad first He called me and was excited and congratulated me.

We went ring shopping together. She didn't pick the ring or anything. Just got an idea of what she liked. If that b*tch would have strung me along said no after that, she'd have gotten a swift kick to the cooch.

While walking our dog on our favorite trail at his favorite swimming hole.

Then had everyone we know waiting for us at the house with champagne when we got back, but parked down the street so it was a surprise when she walked in the door.

She was kind of pissed because she was wearing workout clothes and was sweaty
