True.

I also helped him pick the ring out.
How bad on the "most horrible woman" scale does that put me?

Nurse, that's off the scale.

Sorry nurse. I didn't mean that, seriously

Naw, that's fine.
I didn't have much cash when I married the second Mrs. Vette, but later on I upgraded her ring.
Now she's gonna have to grow more fingers.

why not just get some other jewelry for your anniversary?
Since you're the breadwinner did you have to help pay for your engagement ring?

You're one of those that still thinks it's 50%, aren't you?

Look around at other places other than jewelry stores. I got mine from a guy who owns a pawn shop with a jewelry business on the side. It was a loose diamond and I picked out the setting. He could order whatever I wanted. It was 1.5c and the whole set was over 2.5c and it was less than 7 G. If your close to Shreveport I can give you his name and number. @hotmail.com. He gave me the info on it and it retails for around 15G

I got my wife a 1 carat ring. It was my mom's old one. I had a white gold band put on it for $400 and bought a Tiffany box. My wife still thinks I dropped over $10,000 on it.

A nice canary diamond catches the light when surrounded by the correctly mounted white diamonds.

Well I do want an anniversary band...basically the same wedding band that I got that fits my ring perfectly...but worn the same way. I would honestly rather that than a stone upgrade. But...the place we got it from will buy back the diamond and credit it towards a bigger one so it wouldn't be that expensive really.

Nope. I told him to get me what HE could afford. At that point I just wanted to be engaged tbh so didn't really care how much he spent.

That's what I did. The fact that she is 100% satisfied with the "little" ring that has even been ridiculed by some snooty friends and flat out refused when I offered to upgrade it was inspiration for me to bling her out like a rap star. Says she loves it and it reminds her of where we've come from, been through, and accomplished.
