It’s all bullshite. Those neck gaiters are proven to not do shite, yet they’re still acceptable. It really is all a bunch of virtue signaling. My absolute favorite though is having to wear a mask until you sit down in the restaurant. As soon as you sit down though, you can take your mask off as you are now immune to the virus. Nobody can refute that point and how stupid it is.

I wear one to the grocery store/restaurants in the most liberal part of Virginia.

Probably the same people that have latched on to the 6% CDC thing thinking it proves their point. Not realizing they simply further show their ignorance because it’s pretty clear as day to anyone that actually reads the data what that shows.

Eh, I'm waiting to see the results of died with covid vs died of covid. If, for example, coronary related deaths of people without covid are substantially lower, then this whole lockdown was bullshite

Are these numbers supposed to be coming out anytime soon?

Honest answer: masks will be required and/or recommended for many months to come. Even for flu prevention, people will be urged to distant and wear masks in places like supermarkets.

I think masks in restaurants are incredibly pointless. I wore a mask to walk 10 feet to my table yesterday.

Yeah, I love how I'm downvoted simply for saying that I hope you're doing well, as if I'm hitting on you or some bullshite. I simply hope you're doing well and life gets back on track for you. SO frick off, downvoter.

Thank you, I've been good. Moved to Houston in August and still working from home at the old company but hoping to find something new locally. Just looking for a job is so time consuming and exhausting, especially after spending 10 hours a day staring at a computer screen for work already.

It'll all work out fine.

Depends...if Biden wins, you'll see the Covid narrative do a complete 180.

Not sure, but last night I stopped at the grocery store and simply forgot my mask. Was in the store for ten minutes just shopping like normal. Nobody said a thing. I didn't even realize it until I got back in my truck and saw my mask.

Regardless of your opinion on the masks I still don’t understand how much they are talked about on this board. I seriously don’t get the obsession.

You don't understand why people want to talk about useless masks that they have been forced to wear for months with no end in sight for a virus that has very little chance of killing or even hospitalizing most people?

People tend to get irritated with pointless virtue signaling gestures mandated by politicians, especially when politicians don't even follow their own guidelines?

It's so you're not walking around and spreading germs. Once you're sitting down you are essentially socially distanced so you can lose the mask.

However, I agree it's all stupid.

I can wear them anywhere except for on a plane. Was forced to buy a different mask for my return flight although it was fine for the first flight.

precedence has already been set by the Supreme Court during a declared public health crisis.
So the supreme court overstepped and gave the government even more power. "Crisis", "Circumstances", and "Greater Good" seems to be common terms when stripping citizens rights...

This is why Nov 2020 is so crucial.

I reluctantly got on board with wearing a mask and have been doing so ever since but I’m about done with it.

Yes, I'm the one crying on the internet like a teenage girl because I have to wear a mask over my face to go grocery shopping. You nailed it.
