first NEW car was a 1990 Civic DX hatchback with manual. with the "options" of A/C and a cassette stereo, it came to just under $8k

I usually buy a cash car and drive it for 7-8 years. Right now I'mm driving a 2000 Tundra that I paid $3000 for 8 years ago. I'm starting to get the itch to upgrade by a decade.

2008 Mazda Tribute was our first “New” car. Bought it right before we had our first child. It’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I still drive it back and forth to work (offshore) and it has 280,000 miles on it. Still runs like a dream

I kind of miss that car. Part of me wishes I had just fixed the oil leak and kept it rolling. I told myself it was at the age where maintenance was going to be as much as a new note.
