I'm not in BR, but a lot of my friends are so she comes up on my FB pretty frequently. I watch some of her videos and if nothing else, she has a great attitude. I recall her saying she can't stand up during the broadcast anymore (if at all) and that the station has been very accommodating to her. It's a good story.
To the other poster who called her a bitch: I've never heard anyone call her a bitch before. Quite the opposite in my limited experience ... everyone seems to love her.

I do not know her personally, but I remember Vernon Roger and his cooking segment. This was when I was a kid, into my teenage years I guess.. But I know he had his demons. Alcohol right? And didn't he get caught with another woman or something? It has to suck to be in the public eye and have your business put out there.
Either way, I don't know how she is IRL compared to her TV personality, but she seems to be a nice person.

Yeah she actually sits in her wheelchair at the desk. I want to say they put in a ramp up to the desk for her.
Also remember hearing her say that when she was doing the 10:00 with Greg Meriwether, he would actually drive her home after the news ended. He also picked her up before too, I believe.
Greg seems like a solid guy.

She just does the 6pm news, Vowell and Meriwether anchor the 10pm. Has been that way since about December last year.

There was a fire once in her neighborhood and she walked down and brought a bunch of iced tea to the firefighters- who appreciated it a lot. I have no reason to think ill of the lady. She’s always seemed to carry herself very well, and has always been a great representative of her community. Prayers and best wishes for Mrs Donna and her family.....

Even before Vernon's private life became public you could always tell she was embarrassed by what a jackass he came off as.
All the women that were newscasters always seemed well behaved and professional.
