They won’t make it. America will collapse soon.

Sad state of affairs. We are crippling our youth. The American dream may be dead for them.

A lot kids getting out of school EXPECT to start off in the top 80% of their pay scale and do not want to work hard and put in the time to earn it. It's all instant gratification and "what they deserve".
While this is true in some cases, many of them get put into jobs where they bust their asses just to be told they should be lucky to have a job. The idea that hardwork is rewarded these days isn't all that true. "Quiet quitting" became a thing for a reason. Employers at most medium to large companies do the bare minimum to retain employees (or they take the take it or leave it route) so it's only logical for employees to do the bare minimum to stick around.

What do corporations do with their profits? Stow it away in a scrooge mcduck vault? Or reinvest into the company, expand, and give out raises/reward their employees?
Generally it gets rewarded to people at the top and whatever buddies they decide to bring in to share in the scam.

Not in the corporate world. Busting your arse will just lead to a bigger workload and a "Meets Expectations"/2% raise at the end of the year. The loud arse-kissers are the ones who move on up.
There’s definitely truth to that. My job is much more corporate now than it was in the past but I’ve always managed to stay close to the clients where the transactions and servicing happens. Being on the sales or account side is the place to be and being attached to production is even better.
Also, companies are always looking for talent and the way to make more is definitely in moving. Your employer will pay you as little as they can get away with until you leave or threaten to leave.
After a few years at my first real job I was making half of what older guys were making doing the same thing. I told them they needed to make me right or I was going to have to look….luckily they acquiesced since I had a good relationship with my clients and did good work. I ended up being there 11 yrs total but had a safety net ready if they told me to pound sand.

Many jobs today, especially in the corporate world, are designed to keep their employees behind the 8 ball to justify not rewarding them or keep them from speaking up for fear of not losing their jobs due to not meeting the ridiculous goals set for them. It's all a big game and the house is stacked.

It's held in treasury for later spending, or paid in dividends, or both depending on the corporate structure. The financial compensation of executives is already accounted for on the other side of the balance sheet. You don't seem to know much about actual finance law.

I don't even know what this means. What are you talking about?

Not to worry too much. We made it through didn't we?

They won’t!
You and I both with hard work got to enjoy prosperity growing up, but the plan now is for EVERYONE to be EQUALLY poor!

They won’t. Part of the plan. You’ll Own nothing and like it. They’re trying to depopulate. It’s all about elite vs non-elite, not left and right anymore b/c they’re both on the same side. The same people fund both parties. It’s just one big play. Just watch republicans, they’re all talk, they never do anything about anything. Especially the loud ones like Ted cruz, chip Roy, etc. they don’t actually do anything. Just actors.

The one perk I had for taking shitty government pay for 4 years was the government paid 800/ month towards my loans.
Wait, the government bailed you out??
Now I get it. Lol

It's getting to the point where if you aren't an engineer, doctor or lawyer then good frickin luck. That's actually scary because not everyone can achieve that. Those jobs shouldn't be the standard because eventually the cost of living will overtake those careers.

You know what would help?
If the government wasn’t confiscating nearly half of everyone’s income.
How come the federal and state governments never get blamed for confiscatory taxes?

Right off the top of my head I would suggest 2 things...folks are constantly blaming the government for their confiscatory taxes, it is an entire industry of no small proportion whose focus is reducing said taxes.
The second thing is no one is paying 50% of their income in taxes of any form....all combined, state, federal, payroll, property and sells taxes come to about 30% of income over a lifetime. That is too much for certain but it is far better than 50%....

My old man used to cut grass for the pipeline all summer and make enough money to pay for two semesters at LSU, books, and a little bit of gas money on top of that.
Kids today have to work full time year round while in school to have a hope of paying for the same education he got.
Times are vastly different now and the kids are vastly fricked. Mine won't be, but we're fortunate to just be able to kick the can 1 or 2 generators farther.

Thankfully they are cutting their dicks off and sewing their pussies shut so their shouldn’t be too many of them.

For a minute there is great opportunities in blue collar trade jobs...but technology is already reducing the need for qualified craftsmen. In my time in the industry I have seen a PILE of labor reducing measures which have cut a pile of labor out of the cost of building anything. The severe shortage of qualified, skilled tradesmen will only drive that change faster. Subtle changes as simple as re-thinking standard specifications on commercial and industrial projects and minor changes to building codes would IMMEDIATELY reduce the number of skilled positions needed and would not only not lower quality or safety but would substantially lower material costs and labor costs. But for a minute it is still a viable alternative. Based on industry knowledge I am doubtful that minute lasts more than 15-20 years....
