Flown in MDs as well as various AH/MH-6 variants.
They're all variants of variants of variants.
Just pick one and roll with it.
Enjoy.

You ain't lyin', although I'd say daytime might be a bigger rush because you can actually see how batshit insane it is.
When the horizon is damn near vertical, you realize just how maneuverable those birds are for their size.
Not going to say the helo nomenclature, but had a couple of recently retired 160th dudes "high jumping" power lines one time and I thought I was going to shite my pants.

Mostly Eurocopters and Sikorsky for me. Maybe the odd Bell here and there.

I've rode in a few. I took two lessons in a Robinson r22. Tiny thing.
I like helicopters but they are scarier then planes. Your fine in each one.

I've been in a helicopter with my Dad flying. He was the first grad of the first USMC helicopter school He flew virtually every kind of early helicopter and flew copters in Korea and Vietnam. He flew very low when I went for a ride.
His old flight logs are very interesting. WWII flew PBY4-1 (USMC version of the B-24). Flew a variety of helicopters when they were trying to figure out what to do with them in combat, and there was still some of that in Korea. He flew 97 missions in Korea but there were a lot a runs that were clearly training and trying to figure out their role.

It’s definitely a unique rig. Most of my career has been on drill ships, so this is different for me. Incredibly stable though.

No opinion on the original question, but I always appreciate a Howard Hughes reference. Elon is today’s Howard.

I have flown in
Bell 206
Bell 206 L
Bell 407
Bell Huey UH-1
BO-105
Eurocopter EC 130
Sikorsky 76
Sikorsky 90
Sikorsky 92
the 407 was my favorite, those things are fast
the Huey was the worst, very loud
the eurocopter and the sikorsky birds had AC and were the most comfortable
I hated loading the bocal while it was running, you got blasted in the face by the exhaust
