I'm not a meteorologist but that sounds like something Florida and the gulf coast does not want.

it's also projected to be stronger near the Leeward Antilles than it was at the same points during yesterday's 00z run

this run has Irma getting as close to the Bahamas as I think the GFS has had it since I started paying attention to all of these runs

Haven't been following this much. This storm likely to go to the northeast or is it still too far out? GOM seem to dodge this one?

I'm not sure how this run doesn't destroy the Carolinas. The slow SW trend continues. Hopefully, the Euro isn't buy it and is still OTS.
