Haven't been following this much. This storm likely to go to the northeast or is it still too far out?

Too far out but probabilities suggest more east coast than a gulf threat.

That is a concern, the HWRF has been SW of the GFS, if that trend holds then the 00z HWRF will be into the Islands.

If the 00z HWRF grinds the N. coast of Puerto Rico, then the Gulf might need to be bumped up from "Low End" threat.

I was literally just considering asking you if a thread title change should be in the works to show a growing threat to the US mainland

It's an awful feeling knowing someone is going to get destroyed by this thing

Latest Canadian run puts it into SE FL. Couple of more jogs west and the Gulf is back on he table.

And RA'd the thread for a sticky.

I agree - the Gulf has a razor thin margin - and I'm losing hope it could just hook back around and break up over the central Atlantic without landfall. Somebody's going to get hit with the monster - and soon.

It's complex as hell still.

Good system to model watch if you want to learn how they operate at least.

This could degrade our military preparedness for a while. From FL to NC is chock full of bases.
