Disney is a chore, not a vacation.
Took the family twice over the years. The first time was okay; the second time was hell.
Thank goodness the kids got it out of their system and didn’t want to go back when they were a bit older. They were happy camping at national parks.

you normally go out to eat often and buy groceries it is not that much over a regular food budget.

Also what mighty yat said. We don't go as often anymore because we had a fast pass system and genie+/lightning lane can bugger off.
Food and wine fest is legit because I will order flights and tapas anywhere.

I'm being a team family member and going in August. Not happy about it I was there in 96 and hoped then I would NEVER have to go back. Would rather had gone back to Universal.

We love it. Sometimes we do 3 parks in one day. Just bounce around.

It was fun. When they started building more rooms than what the parks can accommodate and started raising prices 5% every year it became a chore. Universal is the better product now.

Universal is on the rise, everything is new and well kept, Disney haven't even spent money other than basic upkeep.

Worst things parents can do is expose their kids to the mere idea of Disney world existing.

Don’t do Disney like a poor..

Wow. Sounds like a dream vacation!

I am hard to impress but I think I had as much fun on the rides as the kids at Universal.
Had that express pass and it was worth every dollar for it.

The food is god awful.
That’s been the case for at least 40 years.. You’d think they could have improved it by now, but i guess there’s no incentive for them to do so.. I think Epcot has a few things that are actually edible though .

Seems like it’s a Louisiana tradition to do Disney during Mardi Gras week. Kids are already off of school, it’s not hot as frick.
Went to Disney twice and had a good time both, but it was way before I found out what a bunch of woke groomers they are.

Nope - Alaska/national parks/and outside of the US are dream vacations.
Disney and universal are kid vacations so we don't blow the budget on them but instead turn into big kids and have a blast.
The kids in our family are still taking about our Disney cruise this year and are the ones asking for universal next year. Memories made with cousins are a lot of fun as a kid.
