Meh. He posted hours after it happened. This is a breaking news site by many standards. I have more than once heard about things here long before they have made news sites.
It isn't like he stood around and shot upright video on his phone while someone suffered. These days that seems to be the standard.

So you post it here?! Try calling 911
What the fuq am I gonna do for him - I'm just a dentist, not a real doctor.
Oh, you meant.....nevermind.

Fired three shots.
1. If true, call the police.
2. Three shots to shoot yourself?

Oh thank God. You finally recognize what your "peers" have known for years. Good for you.

I had a friend attempt suicide in high school with a 22LR over a girl that broke up with him.. He wasn't successful and is now mostly paralyzed on one side of his body. He's grateful for life now, but it's amazing it takes something like that for some to appreciate the fragile nature of consciousness and life, and to realize the vast majority of problems aren't really that important.

Are there really this many people on here that think the OP or numerous other people didn't call the police when it happened??? It's not like a phone call to 911 takes an hour to complete... Why are you on here posting?? Call the police!!!

Look up nathaniel_hassan on Instagram. The kid had a video he posted right before he did it saying he was going to kill himself
I thought I was about to see something that was posted a few years ago or something with the guy's account still up. Nope. It was the kid in the OP. 5 hours ago.
Damn.

Was this one of the Mandeville high kids who died today?

It's weird that everyone on there is saying "rest in peace" instead of "don't do it"
There were dozens of "don't do it" with people leaving their phone numbers and what not. Load the comments. There are hundreds now.

Side note, the cake from 4 days ago looks fricking amazing.
Shocking how we can go from the jubilation of cake to this in a matter of days.
They also reference a "brett" in the comments having driven him to do this, wonder what that's in regards to

Lost my teenage son to suicide a few years ago. Prayers to the family and responders.

I heard a guy next door to my grandparents pop himself during a standoff with the police at his house. It's a pretty surreal feeling. I'm not sure that coming to the OT is exactly the best course of action towards processing this, though. It's not like a bunch of shitty jokes and people lamenting how "pussified" kids are going to lead to anything constructive.
I'm pretty sure the OT is the last place I'd think to go to in this situation.

Cannot imagine. So sorry.

Heartbreaking. "I'm sorry" is inadequate.

Why would you come to Tiger droppings to post about a kid ending his own life?
Well what the hell else is OP gonna do? You gotta admit- a kid killing himself in the damn woods is some share-worthy shite.

This was a suicide?
Shot himself three times in the head?
Was this kid associated with the Clintons in any way?
I guess it would sense to make sure the gun works with a test round or two

"I'm sorry" is definitely adequate. Thank you to you and the poster above.
No one knows what to say, and a lot of people choose to keep quiet. That's just fine, we dealt with plenty of well- meaning over-sharers. People say the dumbest things sometimes, but there is no appropriate or normal reaction to suicide. We took nothing personal and appreciated the effort. Hell, I'm never at a loss for words, and even I couldn't stand up front and read more than a few sentences. I put a bunch of pictures together and let them tell the story of my son's life. It's cliché but he will always be more than how he died.

So sorry for your lost. As a father of 3 teens I can't even begin to imagine.
