A couple months back I saw a 10+ foot gator get mowed down by an 18 wheeler

It didn’t make me sad but it was gross to see

I'll never forget the time when my buddy and I were on the way to a baseball game in his father's truck which had a massive brush-guard. I stayed with them the night before in Union Springs. A little doe trotted out into the road, and my buddy's dad didn't flinch-no exclamation, no bracing, no brakes, at about 65 mph-just ran right over that thing. Brush-guard basically swallowed the doe and spit it out the back, virtually no impact felt inside the truck. Buddy's dad didn't even say a word, and off we went. I was kind of shocked.

Did it spray blood and feces all over the road?

Did you stop to see if it was still alive and in pain? If it was, did you put it out if its misery?

I've hit two unfortunately but it's nearly impossible not to if you spend a lot of time in the Hill Country. One flew about 40 feet and died immediately, the other was still alive and suffering so I put it down, that one sucked.

A few years ago I was driving down a county road and there was a doe hung up on a high fence with broken legs, I had to put her out of her misery.

My most recent adventure was a donkey that was in a pasture with it's legs completely wrapped up in barbwire, poor thing was flailing on the ground and doing serious damage to itself. Drove down the ranch road to the landowners house and knocked on the door but nobody was home. So I went out there and did it myself, that was actually pretty damn scary cutting him loose.

And then you picked it up and salvaged the meat, right?

It bothers me to see them on the side of the road.

Left to hunt early one morning and forgot my sunglasses. Turned around and a doe was just standing on the shoulder looking across the road. Got my glasses and headed back out again and a fawn was laying on the other side of the road dead.

Just saw a falcon take out a blue jay.

Heard a bunch of birds making noise, looked out the window and there was a bird (falcon) on the ground standing on something. Walked outside and he flew off with a bluejay in his talons. Two other bluejays hit him while he was flying off. 10 minutes later and the birds are still making noise.

Better than a dog. I just watched one as it attempted to cross a highway. I don’t know the outcome.

Pretty sure the mosquito has killed more people than every other animal in the world combined.

I get it, sad to watch all that meat wasted considering the price of groceries.

Did you pull over and yank the back straps?

It's all good to be sad. Beautiful animal... it's sad. And that is coming from a deer hunter.

I've hit three in my semi.

Bambi will haul arse in the woods when i breathe too quick, but will run directly into a fully loaded semi. Bambi is dumb.
