How does my leather jacket make me warm yet so cool at the same time?

The Lord works in mysterious ways if there is one.

I meant first. Space is in equilibrium, so the reason why it’s so cold is because there is not enough heat produced by all the stars to heat up all of space.

absorbtion, reflecting and thermal blanket called an atmosphere.

Venus is hotter than Mercury, though Mercury is closer to the sun.

Yeah? Seems like with the amount of stars in our galaxy and the amount of galaxies in the universe that space would be hot as hell. The heat of a Star projects out in every direction. You could say it would dissipate after a certain distance but it would always meet up with heat rays coming from every direction. So....where does all of that heat go? Seems like the universe should be like a damn oven. Think about if you put 20 space heaters in an enclosed room and ran them non stop for billions of years. There is not going to be cold space in between the heaters. That entire room would be one big oven all the time.

Where the hell does the heat go!!!! Tell me.

Because heat is the measure of the motion of molecules and/or atoms.

There are no molecules or atoms in space by definition so no heat, but heat can be transferred though space through photons.

Good luck.
