I think maybe the very first house on the left as you come into the gate might have younger kids. The one not on the circle.

at LaFonda's order the rabbit or the shrimp salad stuffed avocado. If you want the good fried chicken go there for lunch on Saturday.

Best deal in the bar is the liter of half sangria/half margarita for $22

Young guy looking for a cool place to live and working on the Northside of town? That is tough because I49/Evangeline Thruway, University and Ambassador Caffery are real pain in the arse in the morning and afternoon no matter what direction you are headed.

I would recommend looking at some of the older complexes on South College. I lived in a townhouse in Long Plantation for a while and it was pretty convenient. The best apartment I lived in was Riverside at Oakbourne. It is tucked way in the back and it is surprisingly convenient to everything. Even though it is close to the airport, there really isnt enough air traffic there to notice it

Excellent choice as well

I was introduced to this once, it's perfect drunk food, but I think I'll stick with the fried rabbit

Fried Rabbit is legit. After a couple of those margaritas tho, I'll eat whatever's in front of me.

As someone who moved from the BR area to Lafayette 20 years ago, I can also tell you that there is no place like Lafayette. I met some of my best friends there. Met my wife there.
There are a lot of Affliction d-bags, but they are mainly from Maurice, Abbeville, New Iberia, Scott, Cankton, Youngsville, Broussard and St Landry Parish. Most Lafayette people are just normal people. There are some stuck up dicks/bitches, but you can avoid them pretty easily.

The food is beyond compare. My mother-in-law cooks better than any restaurant in BR or NOLA. Her rice and gravy will make anyone weak in the knees. Her gumbo will blow your red stick mind. Lafayette is Plate Lunch Central. You will not find a better city to eat in during the lunch hour.

I live in the Saint Streets, but on the Old Money side (Oaklawn) My neighbor owns Service Chevrolet. Other neighbors are lawyers, nurses, doctors, coaches and small business owners (so your Maps are a little incorrect).

The concentration of beautiful women is what is so great about Lafayette. BR and NOLA have beautiful women, but the cities are so spread out that it's hard to find a large concentration, like Lafayette. The Public School system is better than EBR, Private Schools are good.

Hope you like Catholic people!

Lafayette likes to drink.

Sorry, I meant to add Erath :)

I know there are good people in Abbeville and New Iberia.

2 of my best friends are from both places.

Count is from East Erath. He just claims Abbeville to sound more big time.
