I have to take lunesta, colonopin, 2 Advil PM, and sometimes 2 diphenhydramine to go to sleep daily for the last 10 years.

Waste some more energy during the day. Good workout

Ask your Dr to try Trazodone instead of Ambien.
I take this. I get to sleep fine but wake up early. This morning it was about four. But I fall off to sleep pretty well. Six to seven hours of sleep ain't bad.

I am a terrible sleeper. If I wake up I am up for the day. Last week I didn't fall asleep until 5 am one day.
And slept for 1 hour. I tried everything, short of medicine because they make me to drowsy the next day.

You need to see a doctor. I had to see a cardiologist last year. We discussed sleep. The cumulative effect of too little sleep wreaks havoc on the body. Go to your PCP.

3-4 fingers of Tito's with water chasers. Works in 15 minutes flat

Have you had a sleep study done? What is your airway capacity?

Increase your dose to 100 or 150 extended release

I take the 150 mg horse pill. But not extended release. I'm retired so no issues the next day. I don't nap anymore. My sleep from about three in the morning to sunrise sucks generally. My brain starts working and that's it.

It sucks. Just after 5am now and I've been up since 3. Didn't fall asleep until 1am.
Today is going to suck.
Today is going to suck.

can’t sleep. And I’m prescribed ambien. Don’t want to take it everyday but I really can’t sleep without it. I hope I’m not screwing myself. 10mg night. Has anyone else fought this battle and won. Really sucks
I’m right there with ya. I’ll wake up and there’s no going back to sleep no matter how hard you try. Just get up and quietly start knocking out chores. It’ll change your perspective at least.

If you have real insomnia (mostly genetic) these still don't work.
I can take a unisom or nyquil and still be up all night after eating well and getting in an hour of cardio

Find a semi boring audio book and some ear buds( I use my blue tooth hearing aids). Works every night.

Yea, because you have a drinking problem. Hate to be the one to break that to you. I’m sure you do sleep better with a glass of wine when you regularly drink and are dependent on it to fall asleep.
It’s so weird how emotionally invested our society is in a poison that does nothing but make you unhealthy and make you do a bunch of self destructive shite to the point that they can’t be remotely objective about it. I went from being a heavy drinker to a light drinker to not drinking at all so I think I’m more qualified to talk about this than anyone else here unless they’ve been 100% sober without a drop of alcohol for multiple years and can also talk about the very obvious healing process that you go through too.
And no, it’s really not. The physiological changes that take place in your brain and sleep pattern are basically the same with 1 drink every night as they are with 10. Falling asleep “faster” doesn’t do much good if you can’t go into REM sleep and your body is stressed as shite for the next 5 hours while it’s processing the alcohol and after it wears off.

Are you an alcoholic? What made you quit drinking and seek help?

Because it makes life better for a bit. Reality sucks a bag of dicks.
Getting altered is one of life's sweet releases. Some people can't handle it and have to quit or they choose to be a hopeless piece of shite.

I weened myself off xanax with no medical supervision. Much tougher than alcohol. I'd say it makes me more qualified in your retarded pissing contest.
Booze and drugs: If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the meth lab so to speak. Also don't do meth or Heroin

Didn’t need to seek help and I never had a “rock bottom moment” or anywhere close to it, it’s just bad for you so I quit. I love the condescending bullshite over my rational, good decision-making
I got tired of feeling like I poured 2-5 glasses of poison in my body after a night out so I just stopped doing that and now I don’t feel like I poured 2-5 glasses of poison in my body anymore, crazy concept I know

Because I like one eight ounce glass of wine before bed.
I hope you’re joking.
