If you have an email address with a college, you get it for half off. It is more than worth it at that price.

Video options are crazy. I can get it on demand directly through my tv too. Many great movies and series.

I never use the video but it's nice to have.
I use the shipping at least once a week. We ran out of dog food and ordered it with Prime Now a couple hours ago, it'll be here within 30 minutes.

Before you buy something from another site, make sure its not on Amazon first.
This. I rarely buy something online that I can't find at Amazon. And I rarely buy anything at stores any more since I know Amazon can have it on my doorstep in a couple days. And that fits well with my Social Anxiety Disorder. LOVE me some Amazon Prime.

In my opinion, no. I am quitting Prime after having it for two years. Streaming is horrible selection (I have Netflix and Hulu); most things I order I don't "need" to have (or pay a premium via annual fee) within three days.
Between Netflix, Hulu and Walmarts Shipping Pass (similar to Prime but only $50/yr); won't need Prime anymore. Will still use Amazon; but not a member.

I have student prime myself and it's well worth it IMO. Especially at Christmas (I pretty exclusively online shop) it damn near pays for itself with Prime shipping. I also use Amazon Prime Video a lot, especially with all the BBC content they have.

It is hugely worth it for me. We buy everything we can through Amazon. The free 2 day shipping is huge. Even if I didn't need it rushed to me, you have to pay shipping on most things under $25 so we easily save $100 a year on shipping costs plus we have the movies/tv shows if we want something to watch and we do use that from time to time because we cut cable. Worth every penny.

The new Amazon escort service is pretty legit.

I have never used the Prime Pantry. The prices look pretty good, though. I think it may be worth it to get some bulky items that I hate running to the store for (litter, toilet paper, laundry detergent) and paying $5.99, especially considering I will probably save that $6 based on their prices.
