I use them. But I'm not one to pretend like any razor is just way better or worse than another. I mean, they're razors.

From what I gather, they are pretty crappy razors.

If you really want the best deal as far as price goes, pick up a double edge safety razor (a decent will run you between $20 - $35 on Amazon). You can get 100 blades for less than $20. Usually those blades are pretty solid, so you could conceivably get at least 4-5 years of shaves out of one $20 purchase. Of course, safety razors are a little more tricky to use at first.

Brah....DE safety razor.... Bought a pack of 100 feather blades last summer for 20 bucks or so.... I just made it halfway through the blades.

This will change your life lol.... Not the money obviously but the quality of shave.

We've used them in my family for about 3 years now. They aren't the best quality but for 6.95 every other month they are totally worth it.

Shaving is a means to an end for me, not some religious experience.

I have found that the Schick ST2,Slim Twin 2, has the best performance for the price among the disposable razors. Twin blades with a clean out bar and a lubrication strip on top. Basically cost .50 a pop.

I really never understood this angle in their marketing. It's really a silly argument as I suspect most people buy their razors when they go to the store to buy other toiletry or grocery items they need.

had the battery powered norelco for years now...one for the car one for the house

Invest in a decent double edge razor and you'll get the best deal. Blades cost as little as a nickel a piece.

If DSC blades work for your face, they are fine.

They are a rough blade. I quit them and went DE safety razor.

If I use a cartridge I use the Schick Hydro. I love them. They are every bit as good as Fusions and about 2/3 the price.

The best shave you can have.

The blades will last you forever.

Why use anything else?

I've thought about going this route. My issue is I'm spoiled to these bitch razors that are very forgiving, so I've grown into the habit of rushing through shaving. I feel like with the safety razors I'd have a huge learning curve to slow myself down. I suppose slicing your face up a few times would train you to keep it calm and steady though.

And for the OT ballers, I offer the Sapphire Razor - for the low, low price of $100,000...

quote:

The world’s most expensive razor has gone on sale for $100,000 (£62,460) – boasting two blades made out of sapphire. Researchers spent three years developing the Zafirro Iridium, which has a handle made of 99.9 per cent pure iridium – the most corrosion-resistant platinum metal, found only in meteorites.

Hell yeah. I don't shave, I trim. A razor has only touched my face once in the last 5 years. I'm still on the same pack of refills I bought in 2009.

Get an old Gillete Super Speed with the flair tip. Not the red tip. It's very forgiving. I can shave just as fast with it as a "normal" modern razor. I've never cut myself on it. Something like this:

Just don't use normal foaming shaving cream. You want something with glycerin so it makes your face slick.

I like the Neutrogena shave cream because it's easy to find and has glycerin which works great with safety razors and I don't have to break out the mug and brush.

LINK

Then instead of jumping all in to one blade spend a little extra at first and get one of those big multi packs of blades. Not everyone's face likes the same blades. I know people seem to love feathers but I hated them. I prefer Astra Platinums myself.

If I'm not mistaken you can sign up for autoships from Gillette and they'll send you the 4 blade razors for much cheaper
