For bands that play in stadiums it's not worth it. For bands that play House of Blues sized places, it is.
The Cure live at UNO Lakefront Auditorium is definitely worth it. They sound far better live than their recordings can capture.

I saw a lot of great shows back the 80s-90s, prob averaged $20 a ticket, if that. AC/DC, Garth Brooks, George Straight, Stones. Tickets for shows these days are insane. Count me out.

Red Rocks, yes.
Everywhere else, debatable.

I like to go and film the band on my iPad so I can give everyone behind me the choice of watching live or on tv

Outdoors general admission is a huge pain in the arse. I did jazz fest a couple times for the eagles and Ed Sheeran and as much as I like both, it was a struggle

No it’s not worth it. Same as LSU football. It isn’t worth the time or money when you can watch it in AC on your 72” 4K TV

Lol, maybe you should get a new username and give this one to an actual LSU alumnus.

Been to eight shows so fR this year and hopefully seeing The Avett Brothers in Vermont next week. Few other shows already booked for the year.
If you like music and the band..treat yourself.
If not..then don’t.

Fiddlers Green isn’t bad, either.

Well whos concert are we talking about.. as far as I'm concerned nobody really tours anymore especially not like the 70s and 80s the music business is different now. Most halfway worthwhile bands just dogpile on the card of some spring-summer music festival these days. You have to judge whether or not the price is worth seeing the band you want with all of the other lagniappe to go with it. Also hopefully it's not an act of congress to go take a piss. I don't know. I'm not really trying to go to any of these anymore

I went to a concert at The Arena Theater here in Houston in February and it was definitely worth it. I also went to a show at the Smart Financial Center in Sugarland and it was also well worth it.
Both are small venues though. I had no interest at all in going see any of the shows during the Houston Rodeo because the venue was far too large.

I can’t stand to be around crowds nowadays so there’s only a few concerts I’d go to
