A judge will have to decide if you can reschedule. You won’t be excused unless your meet certain criteria (which most don’t) but rescheduled. If the court doesn’t do it before your jury duty date then it will have to wait when show up for jury duty. This is your legal duty. Following the law should come before some zoom training. Any employer will understand this and frankly I’d question the judgement of anyone that doesn’t. Particularly if they are senior management.

All the times I have been there has been someone acting a fool trying to get out and the judge told them I know what you trying to do and you can sit here all day watching. A bunch of us got excused and those other dudes had to stay I don’t know how long

Pretend that you can't hear. Keep saying "Huh?"

It's not an excuse. You can contact your employer and tell them of the jury duty. They have to (by law) accept it and cannot fire you.

Why do people hate jury duty so much?

The last two times I had jury duty, the two judges were royal cocksuckers to the people who asked to be excused. It was rather insulting as a taxpayer to see their disregard for the public.
This, about the judges.
Some people are actually independent contractors, and not protected by whatever law states that your employer can't hold it against you. I miss more than a day of these deadlines I'm on, my clients will move on with the quickness to the next guy who can provide the same services I do but who don't miss deadlines.
This is underscored when on the county web page they specifically state that being the sole proprietor of business does not excuse you.
F**k jury duty.

Tell them your daddy said you're not a man until you split black oak, and you duty will be done.
