18 months of counseling, sounds like you should ask for a refund.

he claimed that the statement "it takes 2 to save a marriage" was false and that his life proved that

the simple fact that at some point she began to try again proves that it does, indeed, take 2 to save a marriage

if she had never decided to try again, it wouldn't have matter how much he fought for her, because it takes more than one to save the marriage

Thats tough man! Hope you make it through okay, and your kids especially. At least give your kids a great example of how to handle the situation gracefully.

Thank you. It's encouraging to know at least one person out there gets it.

No, your lack of understanding led you to believe that.

Be the best dad that you can when you have that opportunity. My parents split when I was in high school and it took a while for my dad to realize this. Control what you can control.

You guys with this Alpha/Beta b.s. are deluded.

The stupid chest thumping of these young guys on this board related to this is laughable. Wait until reality kicks you in the balls a few times as you get older and see how Alpha you are at all times. Most of you guys are pussies.

My parents are divorced...I feel for your kids...I was too young to realize what was happening. Whatever you do...DO NOT GET A count GIRLFRIEND. I haven't stayed at my dads house in 3 years bc I was fed up with that bitch. Best of luck to you

She was the one my dad was sleeping around with and treated me like shite when I was kid. Nobody believed me. That bitch doesn't talk to me anymore she knows better. I would never hit a girl but if I got one clean shot on that count I'd break her fricking jaw

this is what I'm saying. Get past all the other. This shouldn't be about me. Let's keep this about the OP.

I was.
I kept trying.
Marriage ended anyway.
I'm glad I kept trying.
I am better because of it.
Kids are better because of it.
I believe she is better because of it.

Ignore the articles I provided which disagree with your baseless facts about life.

I don't think he would say that though.

Enjoyed the conversation guys. This is going nowhere so I am leaving.

Try to keep it civil and see the other side of things. That's a hard thing to do when emotion is involved.

p.s. I'm heading to the F&D Board to have heated discussions about hamburgers.

No. One person can absolutely wreck a marriage. One person can absolutely save one.

It doesn't take two. Two can wreck a marriage, but just one can wreck a marriage.

Two can save a marriage, but one can save a marriage, also.
