Oh yeah, I forgot that everyone on the internet always tells the truth.

Well, if you're gonna tackle it from that angle, what else is he lying about?

Why in the actual frick are all the girls in this thread saying they don't want to know unless told by a friend?!?!?! If my SO is possibly exposing me to STDs I want to know by ten year old or carrier pigeon like someone else said! I don't want to continue a relationship with a big fat liar either until I find out on my own. I would prefer to cut my losses and get out.

It's not about the "guy" code. There are plenty of females, including myself, that think he should have minded his own business.
Not defending the cheater, but think the OP needs to chill and let people handle their own lives without interference from idiots like him/her/it.

If I happened to cheat on my wife and some dude I didn't know told her he'd better go into hiding cause I'd definitely be looking for him
Posted on 8/14/15 at 8:41 am to yellowfin
I am not saying that wouldn't happen

Cool. Then quit bringing personal shite on the board for others to judge.

I haven't brought anything personal.

If you decide to cheat on wife, just let me know
You can keep the kids

Guy code doesn't apply in all situations. If you found our your wife was getting pounded by another married man on a regular basis, his wife absolutely has a right to know.

To play the opposite...If my wife was cheating on me and people I knew never told me, I'd be going after them even more
I think that's why what OP did isn't a big deal to me. IDGAF who it is, someone better fricking tell me because if I find out everyone else knows but me, I'll be a Michael Douglas in Falling Down mother fricker all over town

It seems like the wife was really touched and thankful for your honorable compulsion to do the right thing.
Do you also write down the license plates of speeders and parked cars with expired meters and call the police on them?
Stick with helping old ladies cross the street and so forth.

There is a really great answer to this
There is. You're the guy that IM/texts your "friends'" GF's because you can't get one on your own. You friendzone that shite, spread dirt about the BF, and try to swoop in for the rebound. Then when the BF beats your arse, you play the victim and tell the girl, "See. He's so violent. He'll hurt you."
If you aren't, you're still a giant P.O.S. for getting involved.

Tried to warn him about this. He is unconcerned because he feels the husband would approach him a bar full of friends.
He will be attacked from behind, with a bat. He will be shot from 300 yards. He will catch a tranquilizer dart and have parts cut off of him.
He tried to wreck the husbands life and feels that the husband is going to approach him from the front, in a crowd of friends? Not likely.
