This sounds like an event that people us to commemorate very sad and dark period in our nation's history

Can someone refute this or explain why it exists instead of running away from the question?
From page 1:

I'll bite - it is a celebration of our fraternities heritage. A quick google search or visit to the organization website will show why that is important to us. It's a great chance to throw a weeklong party.... As far as it being secretive, sorry you didn't get a bid bud, you expect to be invited or something? My chapter did all our fun right out in the open, I think the whole town knew what we were up to that week.

The chapter of KA I was in wasn't racist at all, just because someone on here had a run in with a chapter that was or is racist, doesn't mean they all are.

Not one thing wrong with one being proud of their heritage. Many families have had grandfathers serve in the civil war. And NO they were not fighting for slavery because 99% chance they didn't own a single slave so save that bullshite.

LOL. I'm sure you and most KA's have about as much in common with Robert E. Lee and/or anyone who fought in the Civil War as I do to the Seminole Tribe.
I have nothing against it and have a lot of friends who were in KA. Most of them can't change a tire and have probably can't load a gun. You couldn't carry Robert E. Lee or any civil war soldiers jock.
