Got it. Absolutely no advancements in cancer cures like HPV vaccine or HBV vaccine.
Seriously. Lots of "cures" are out there.
I hope you don't speak to people about this subject in real life. I bet they just nod a lot and say "that's crazy" when you do.
Literally walks and events are put together of cancer survivors are organized due to cures.
My right hand is on the titty of a cancer survivor due to "cures" she took advantage of 5 years ago last month.
Sir. You are a fricking idiot.

Grok, can parasites cause cancer?
quote:
Yes, certain parasites can cause cancer in humans, according to established medical and scientific consensus from organizations like the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the American Cancer Society, and the National Cancer Institute.
IARC classifies some parasitic infections as Group 1 carcinogens (definitively carcinogenic to humans), the highest level of evidence. These are specific parasitic worms (helminths/trematodes or flukes):
Schistosoma haematobium (a blood fluke causing schistosomiasis) — strongly linked to bladder cancer (especially squamous cell carcinoma). This is common in parts of Africa, the Middle East, and some areas of Asia where people are exposed to contaminated freshwater.
Opisthorchis viverrini (Southeast Asian liver fluke) and Clonorchis sinensis (Chinese liver fluke) — both strongly associated with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer in the liver). These infections typically occur from eating raw or undercooked freshwater fish and are most prevalent in East and Southeast Asia.
These parasites cause cancer primarily through chronic inflammation, tissue damage, oxidative stress, and sometimes direct production of carcinogenic compounds over many years of infection. In high-prevalence regions, these parasites account for a substantial proportion of certain cancers (e.g., most bladder cancers in some endemic areas come from schistosomiasis).

What the FiL apparently believes is that parasites make up the tumors of apparently all cancers. That's stupid .

I’m sorry this is something you are so emotional about. But you can’t call it a cure if there is still a massive amount of uncertainty about the outcome.

Grok, are all cancers caused by parasites? (Like what OP’s FIL is suggesting)
quote:
No, not all cancers are caused by parasites. In fact, the vast majority of cancers have no connection to parasites at all.
Cancer is fundamentally a disease where your own cells accumulate genetic mutations and grow uncontrollably, forming tumors or spreading abnormally.
These mutations can arise from many causes, including:
Inherited genetic factors Environmental exposures (e.g., tobacco smoke, UV radiation, certain chemicals)
Lifestyle factors (e.g., diet, alcohol, obesity)
Aging Viral infections (e.g., HPV causing cervical cancer, hepatitis B/C causing liver cancer, Epstein-Barr virus linked to some lymphomas)
Only a small fraction of cancers worldwide are linked to parasitic infections, and even then, the parasites act as risk factors — usually through chronic inflammation, tissue damage, or immune disruption — rather than directly "causing" every case.

But some are: such as your before mentioned hpv (obligate parasite)
JUST saying the truth is not always and absolute yes or no.
NO, they are not all parasites....but.... Yes, some are known to be.

We have way too many uneducated dummies in Louisiana who think they know everything but end up falling for every dumb conspiracy theory out there. ?
You quickly realize this traveling to other states when your fast food orders come out correctly and not everything is falling apart.
My uncle says "Louisiana is poor because the people in Washington hate us and are conspiring against us." Not because we elect incompetent or corrupt people.

I've got an aunt that believes she cured her colon cancer by cutting all carbs and sugar combined with drinking taheebo tea religiously. They found a tumor, she refused meds and started her regime. Tumor shrunk and went away. IDK
That actually has science behind it though. Cancer can't grow as fast if there's less glucose.

Correct, cancer cells feed off of inflammation and sugar is the biggest driver of inflammation in the body especially heavily processed sugars

Do you think there is anything to the theory that doctors going in for exploratory surgery and then closing the patient up accelerates the cancer to warp speed and the patient dies within weeks or even days?
I have heard of it happening many times. Sorry for the run on sentence.

I dunno... are you saying for people already diagnosed with observable cancer?
I don't know of anyone that's happened to. Seems like it'd be hard to untangle correlation and causation on that, though.

OT will 100% support his cancer being cured by the horse paste.

I think the doctors knew there was cancer but didn't know how much it had spread until they opened them up and they just zipped the patients up.
Would the air getting to it cause more spread?
Guy here in town was told he had months to live and he died a day or two later.
I don't know much about cancer; I personally don't know anyone who has had it. Doesn't run in my family. All my rellies have died from heart disease caused by smoking. They just keeled over when walking around. I am the last person left of a family and I am the only non smoker.

It's a anti-parasitic. It is great at what it does.

How so?
It is my understanding cancer is your own body's cells gone haywire. There are no parasites involved.
Tell me how that's wrong.
