I hope they are affected. But they are probably well taken care of. Someone’s palms are being greased to allow this AI push. It would be illegal on my watch.

The biggest issue I think is that our government views AI as a no holds barred race with China, and either you win or you lose.
It all started about 10 years ago when the American Google nerds created a program that beat the world champion Chinese Go player in Go. Barely made the news here, but it was a really big deal over there and kickstarted China's AI program.

I was laid off in November, it sucks. AI is just an excuse for a lot of these layoffs.
