re: Legal THC going away

There has to be some common sense laws. In OK, for example, I was happy that people could legally buy their pot drug. Then it turned into a weed shop on every corner in every small and big town. Then, as someone mentioned above, we have Chinese mob running the grow ops and the crime from these illegal operations. There were no safeguards put in place when medical was passed and it became a free-for-all.

I'm all for closing this loophole. Either federally decriminalization all marijuana or close these weird loopholes where people are taking some strange gummy and drink combinations that they have no idea what they're doing.
so would I still for example be able to buy mg THC seltzers and gummies that are currently ebing sold in Louisiana?

If it closes the loophole permanently, probably the only way to get anything would be to get a medical MMJ card in LA, and be forced to pay the highest prices in the country for the products. Louisiana pricing is the entire reason I don't have an official card and chose (until now anyway) to order online and get it shipped to me. I get the entire idea that yes, you know where the products are coming from, etc if you buy via a dispensary... but is that enough to be able to justify charging over twice as much as almost every other recreational place in the nation, Vegas included?

The supposed "clean" continuing resolution to reopen the government slipped in a provision closing the THC/hemp loophole from the 2018 Farm Bill
There was nothing “supposed” about the clean bill passed by the house that the Dems have been blocking in the Senate for over a month, but as soon as the Senate modified that house bill and turned it into a minibus legislative bill it became unclean. It appears this was all required to get the 8 Dem Senators (or independents caucusing with Dems) to agree to defect from the Dems filibuster that was causing the shutdown to get the 60 votes required to end debate and allow a vote to open the govt back up temporarily.

Man, I had to get off the drinks because just drinking 1-2 will make me pee 10+ times a night. Far more than alcohol or water or anything else does. It's wild.
I do enjoy the gummies, though.

I tried gummies just cause the drinks were so expensive... $20 for a 4 pack of seltzers or $8 for an 8 pack of gummies lol

Probably won't be a good thing for the economy when these places have to shut their doors

Are you getting pure d9 gummies, or gummies with the additional thc derived cannabinoids? THCP is some shite that will give you the "thc hangover" like effects for 2 or 3 days.
Can attest to that. Trying to find the right amount with those had me taking like half a pencil eraser size (the visible part lol). For me it wasn’t as much an overly strong feeling that evening, it was how long it stuck around, well into the next day, which is annoying even on a weekend day.
No issue with the drinks at all, they are all pretty much right on.

Here was Sen. Paul's response to Matt Jones (KSR) when he mentioned it on social media.

This was something the Trump administration pushed in the 2016 farm bill that got it legal in the first place. We know how much you hate Trump and his supporters, so you should be all for this.

I still lean towards full legalization BUT….
Weed is not nearly as fun as I remember and too many people think smoking the rankest shite in public is somehow acceptable.

You don't see this much....
You were apparently taught proper Civics in school. You must be old like me.

I still get mine off the black market for $200/ounce. It isn't going anywhere. I've visited several legal states and you'll never see me pay $5 for a fricking gram.

Agree with you on both accounts. I will never vote for another evil Democrat again, but I am still very socially left. THC should be legal, but, like every other vice, it has its downsides and this is the main one. You can buy so many alternatives to keep it discreet.

An oz is 28 grams..you are paying $7.14 a gram.

mom and pop hemp shops.
I don’t agree with the bill, but the commercial space is entirely occupied by overseas distributors with a dash of trust fund tools who get to larp as “entrepreneurs” because it’s impossible to screw the business model up if you have half a million to blow on marketing. The only real victims here are the end-consumers
Edit - I’m obviously neglecting the retailer side, which does include “mom and pop shops” as it were. Even still, having a hard time conjuring a sympathetic image there.

I was for full legalization but quickly realized the dregs of society would stink up every place possible. America is full of broken people with shitty habits, but walking outside to it everywhere is exhausting
