Most likely. But Reddit is full of bots and trolls so it’s hard to take any of this seriously. But I bet plenty on that sub are really wackos.

Reddit is a massive enough site that has its share of crazies, bots, and trolls.
But these types of sub Reddits are perfect for trolling. And it’s narrative subs (like Am I the a-hole) are always filled with fake stories

Yeah, it's pathetic, but I don't understand why someone would spend a second of their day checking in on it.

Can’t believe this person stayed with them the entire 5 years during covid. Finally they had had enough it seems. Good for them.

What is POTS?
Basically this person can chalk up a headache, anxiety/fast heartbeat/muscle weakness ( from never leaving the house ) it’s a catch all to make yourself a victim in this case
quote:
Forms of cardiac dysautonomia associated with long COVID include postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), orthostatic intolerance, vasovagal reflex susceptibility, and hypotension. POTS affects approximately 30% of highly symptomatic patients with long COVID. Symptoms of POTS and other forms of cardiac dysautonomia include palpitations, orthostatic symptoms, fatigue, brain fog, sleep disturbance, migraine, and muscle weakness, among others. Interestingly, symptoms of POTS may be seen at the time of acute COVID infection and persist despite resolution of acute COVID or present for the first time months after the initial infection.

You realize that’s likely for dust and pollen, not COVID, right?

I have perused this website off and on out of morbid curiosity over the past several months. If you read their posts, they usually indicate their fear of COVID also comes with a basket of other maladies. Most have anxiety, autism, OCD, fibromyalgia, and other mental illnesses. So the masking fears play right into these compulsions.
They'll tell stories about how their primary care physicians have gently asked them about their mental health and how perhaps it's time to give up the mask and they run to that message board to complain. Everyone in the echo chamber validates them and tells them to drop their doctor, break up with their significant others, ditch their non supportive friends, etc.
Without the internet they would have moved on with their lives but now they have some sort of morbid support network that tells them they're perfectly normal.

Life as a male Democrat means having to date this type of woman.
I’m convinced there are no real male democrats, just fakers and those who fell victim to media brainwashing.

My favorite of the zero covid takes was one weirdo desperately wanted to see Barbie in theaters
So she rented an entire theater for like a 9am showing, advertised it would be low risk, she made the employees test negative to work that morning, the attendees had to negative test. N-95s on at all time. Six feet apart seating during the movie
Just insane

I still come across maskers pretty commonly.

If you saw him, you'd understand.
Side note: He's been my neighbor for nearly a decade and never wore a mask outside until 2020.

No way people are still doing this much

The longer impacts of COVID are another avenue for the mental illness crisis in modern society.

Bernie wants a Long Vovid Awareness Day. Says 2 out of 4 workers are out of a job because of it costing up to 170 Billion in wages.

China wanted everyone to ignore the fact they had APCs lined up outside of Hong Kong to put down anti-CCP protests. Oh, look, it worked.
