You do realize some people drink merely to be social or enjoy trying new types of alcohol/cocktails and have no intention of ever getting "fricked up"?

Ive had no problem buying booze in smith county over the past four years
But I don’t think the adult video store off i20 is there anymore
Left Tyler almost 4 years ago. Had to make the drive on weekends to the county line to buy hard liquor. 155 was like I-10 on Fridays for folks crossing the lake

Have you used the living labels app? The faces talk about their crimes. Works on their walking dead wine too, but that wine sucks.
Haven't, I'll have to check it out. The person giving samples also gave out samples of the walking dead wine. Agreed...I didn't really like it.

Perhaps people should focus on their families and their lives instead of worrying about when they should go get fricked up next.
Perhaps people worry about their family being on the same roads as people having to drive 3x as much to go get a buzz.
And regardless of what you think people “should” do, people are going to do what they want. Let me guess, if I have a few beers during the family BBQ, I’m not “focusing on my family”

It’s a cool app and sells a ton.
The walking dead stuff is selling like crazy but the juice is awful. I think it’s just repacked beringer stuff.

The discussion isn’t duis, it is alcohol in general. Alcohol is there so people can forget about their responsibilities and instead just go get fricked up. A society where everybody needs to check out to feel normal is a society that is clearly fricked. Maybe people shouldn’t need to numb theirselves to feel normal. I know this is some ground breaking stuff here.
Get the fck out. Such a lame stupid response.

You should go back to college and learn something.

If you want to drink don't live in a dry county. It seems pretty simple to me. I don't want to live in a city that hosts gay parades and shite so I'm moving out. Same concept.

That's fine but there is no reason for those people to live in dry counties if drinking is that important to them.
I don't really have a problem with that, by itself, but there are a lot of people that have drinking problems and it affects their families, so I think if people want to vote and decide to keep that out of their county well then I really see no problem with it.

08 alcohol limit can be as little as 2.5-3, 12 ounce beers for a 140 lb person.
I weigh 190 and if I had three beers I would def. be feeling it.

I’m not the one moving because I’m tempted by pride parades.

You can’t legislate Alcoholism or any addiction away. If somebody who has a problem wants something bad enough, they will get it. You CAN legislate bad behavior though. So you lower the boom on people actually drinking and driving, or beating their wife, and you let law-abiding citizens buy a bottle of wine at the grocery store!

That stretch from Rabbs/Devine/Rev to Tech Drive was like shooting fish in a barrel for cops looking for DWIs on a Saturday night.
I left Ruston in 2016 and I was shocked at the progress they made in just two years.

I used to drive trashed from my place on California to the Waffle House. Idiotic but we never got caught.

Ruston, Louisiana is a great example and I can speak to its transformation first-hand.
It has a horrible reputation on this board and prior to about 10 years ago it was deserved. The most recent mayor Ronny Walker has done an incredible job of bringing Ruston into the 21st century and giving it a chance to see its true potential as a vibrant college town.
I always liked Ruston even when it was dry. It might not have had all the nightlife a college kid would want, but IYAM it's as close to a perfect small town as you,'ll find in Louisiana.

If they ever allowed DWI Checkpoints in Ruston, half the population would have a DWI
Ruston is just a trap for that shite because there are ZERO ride service apps and like one taxi that sometimes works the weekends if he's feeling up to it.
