at 61 years my life is fuller and richer. Very busy but busy with different things, adult children and grandchildren. A marriage of 37 years. Semi-retired and now finally able to give back. Seem to notice things more or maybe am just now slowing enough to observe. What others think, outside of immediate family, matters less and less. Financial obligations remain but are different.
No regrets of consequence. Have had a blessed life and am in no hurry to experience an afterlife.

Selectively say "no" to every meaningless obligation that randomly comes your way. If you let inconsequential people and activities fill up your time they will.
Actively plan to do something meaningful every weekend. Go to the park. Go for a walk. Go for a bike ride. Fill up your time with memories of people and activities you love.
ETA: Will turn 54 this summer.

I leave work at 6:30... get home at 6. For a while i would come home, feed the dogs, shower, eat, watch tv a few mins then bed. rinse and repeat. What i have started doing to slow down is going outside when i get home and stay outside til dark. Even if it is just sitting on my porch to relax. I try not to rush when i get home now.

I think it's likely because as we get older we get better at keeping ourselves occupied. When you're 10 you're mostly bored AF and can't do much about it.

Life ain't nothin but a roll of toilet paper.
It goes faster and faster the closer you get to the end.

Wow. I don't think I got one smartass reply. Some were off the cuff but not terrible.
I want to start golfing again. That is a regret. It's been 4 years probably since I've hit at a real course and not top golf or the range.

Once I started in the work world, I really cannot distinguish between what happened two and ten years ago. I'm only able mark time by some hallmark things like weddings, funerals, vacations, and sporting events.

Starring at a screen makes time go by faster.

Imagine you are being eulogized by your spouse, children, best friend...what would you wish for them to say...there is your answer as to the quality and pace of your life.

Everything changes with the quality of time when you get a mortgage and dependants.
It's like you were the hunter. Now you're the hunted and it's all you can do is to outrun the wolf back to your door.
Every day.

Thinking about this is depressing.

Do it! Getting involved in hobbies & sports (tennis & golf to a lesser extent) has been so rewarding as I get older.

I feel the same way, and I'm sure most do. Childhood felt like an eternity compared to life after college. High School also felt very long. College for me kinda flew by...I enjoyed it, but it still seems like a lot longer of a time period than life after college. It feels like time moves exponentially faster as you get older. I guess because you have more responsibilities that take up your time (job, kids, family, etc), where as when you were young, you could focus more on you and have time to take in everything.
I think about it often and it saddens me.

This is in the top 3 on my list too. Getting pretty excited about it really.

Ditto for me. And you don't need to be having fun for this phenomenon to occur.

Think about the things you most want to do in your life. And start planning them. Several years ago I developed medical symptoms that convinced me my life expectancy was pretty short. It definitely changed my attitude and approach to life. Time is priceless. Since then we've traveled far more than I would have ever done including taking a couple of summers off work to camp all over the western US and Alaska. Make the most of your time. Try to imagine if you had cancer, what would you regret not having done? Then do it.

It's an over 40 thread I bet.
If not you're doing your 30's wrong. And definitely your 20's.
