I'm actually pretty optimistic about aging, I did everything young, marriage, kid. I'm a widower and soon to be a empty nester, life isn't over yet. Not even close!

I don't know if you can slow it down. The older you get, the faster it seems to go by. It seems like Christmas just ended and here it is April 4th.
January - May always seems to fly by then June - August seem to creep along then September - December seems to go by in a blink.

Ty, I try to stay positive. There was a time I wanted to crawl in bed and never leave, but he wouldn't want that. I can relate to what you're saying, my sons milestones get to me. Seems like just a couple years ago he was hanging on my leg saying mom mom mom every two minutes lol. Life is good though.

As an old timer Get-off-my-lawn type, what I have found is that things that were so fricking important back in my younger days really don't amount to a hill of beans now. Focus on what really is important in your life & don't let the other, B.S. stuff cause you to waste your valuable time. Decide what really matters & move on past the mundane. And never miss an opportunity to tell those that matter to you how much you love them. Sounds trite but as I have discovered, I missed way too many opportunities.
