What about peoples right not to die of covid? When people don’t wear masks they can literally kill someone
Why would someone die if they have their mask on. If the mask is so effective shouldn’t it work if the person wanting to wear the mask has theirs on.

Hate to break hearts, but the Attorney General has zero authority to declare something unconstitutional.

Yes, because government restrictions on government property are the same as government mandating and fining a business for a customer not wearing a mask.
If I'm not wearing my seatbelt when we pass on the road, you should get a ticket because you didn't force me to put on a belt?

Once again, we have someone who doesn't understand the issue or the reason for wearing mask.
Use google. please.

Revenue generator. Has nothing to do with safety.

Most people are not against wearing masks. They are against the government telling them they have to wear masks. There's a difference.
I know plenty of people that refuse to wear a mask whether or not the government mandates it. In fact, there are many people on this site who have bragged about not wearing a mask long before any mask mandate was issued.

yep.
They didn't care about the business requiring it, becasue they weren't going to wear it. And frick a business who asked them to.

If a judge does strike it down, though, that opinion's gonna be some nice evidence if anyone brings a civil suit. It's going to show that as of today the state and cops were formally given the opinion that they were at risk of violating the plaintiff's constitutional rights and did it anyway.

1905 SCOTUS decision prevents that.
Now, the Supreme Court could overturn that decision, but it would do nothing for any lawsuits until after the overturn, and then the actions would have to take place after as well.

Don’t you work at one of the overpass businesses? They’ve been lax as shite at all those

"In 1905, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a public health order in Massachusetts, saying the Constitution “does not import an absolute right in each person to be, at all times and in all circumstances, wholly freed from restraint.” But the court also said government restraint must not be exercised in an “arbitrary and oppressive manner.”
Direct from the ABA's website.
The arbitrary nature of the executive order and the lack of sufficient reason for it to exist is a huge part of Landry's opinion.

Attorney General Landry just ruled Edwards mask rules & bar closures unconstitutional, null & void.
Umm... no. The AG can't RULE anything. He is offering his opinion.
Only a judge can rule something unconstitutional.
As per usual, Landry is throwing red meat to his base, and pandering.
(Granted, his opinion may be valid).

Not from my experience.
Unless you're talking about Merchant, because I don't go there.
But they are also the only one to shut down for the staff being infected, so...
